FAIR HAVEN - Sherman "Rick" Levesque, 60, of San Diego, formerly of Fair Haven, Vermont, passed away on July 2, 2018, after a brief illness.
He was predeceased by his parents Marion (Pelkey) Levesque, in March 2018, and George C. Levesque, in February 1997; and his partner, Dr. Jay Bohl, in 1994. He is survived by a sister, Linda Way and her husband, Alan, of Fair Haven, Vermont, and a brother, Kevin Levesque and his wife, Julie, of Rutland, Vermont. He is also survived by nephews Eric Way and Brandon Levesque, niece Andrea Way, uncles, aunts and several cousins.
Sherman attended Fair Haven Union High School and graduated from Johnson State College in 1979 with a degree in music education. He moved to San Diego in 1980 and made his home there until his death. He was an accomplished pianist, organist and flutist, starting his own teaching business, Musical Reflections, in 2009.
At his request, his ashes were scattered at sea. Some of his ashes were retained and buried at a private ceremony held by his family, in St. Mary's Cemetery alongside his parents.
