SPRINGFIELD - Susan Bazaar, 68, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Mount Ascutney Health Care Center in Windsor.

She was born June 13, 1944, in Windsor, the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Holbrook) Esty.
She graduated from Windsor High School in 1962 and from Albany (N.Y.) Business School.
Ms. Bazaar was employed for several years at Windsor Minerals in Brownsville and most recently, at the U.S. Postal Service in White River Junction as a mail handler.
She was a member of the Green Mountain Club and active with the Girl Scouts.
She was an avid sports fan of Detroit's Lions, Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings, as well as the Green Bay Packers and the Lakers. She enjoyed biking, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, reading and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Bazaar of Cheshire, Conn., and Dale Bazaar of Springfield; a daughter, Jacqueline Thomas of Marshall, Va.; seven siblings, Edward of Sacramento, Calif., Richard of New Haven, Gerald of Cornish, N.H., Wendall of Bethel, David of Windsor, Nancy Mosher of Wells, Maine, and Ruth Smith of The Villages, Fla.; five grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ms. Bazaar was predeceased by two brothers, William and Henry Esty.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Esty officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in Sheddsville Cemetery in West Windsor.
