SHREWSBURY - William George Brien, 45, of Shrewsbury died unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at his residence.He was born March 20, 1967, in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of Robert E. and Jean (Little) Brien.

He relocated with his family from Ohio to Shrewsbury in 1979.

He graduated from Mill River Union High School in 1985, the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, and Castleton State College.

He was employed by several companies as a computer technician.

He enjoyed traveling, working on computers, and anything involving history and science. He also enjoyed his cat.

Survivors include his longtime girlfriend, Audrey Alflen of Concord, N.H., and an aunt, Carol Little of East Hanover, N.J.

He was predeceased by his father in 1987, and his mother in 2011.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the Aldous Funeral Home, 44 North Main St., Rutland.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at a later date in the Laurel Glen Cemetery in Cuttingsville.
