PITTSFIELD - Lewis B. Sackrider Jr., 81, of Pittsfield died Friday, February 14, 2014, at Our House Residential Care Home in Rutland.

He was born September 18, 1932, the son of Lewis B. and Catherine (Polin) Sackrider Sr.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
In 1960, he and his future wife developed the Fleur De Lis Lodge in Pittsfield.
On June 28, 1964, he married Elaine (Wolf) in Rahway, New Jersey.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge.
Lewis was employed for thirty years with New England Telephone Co., retiring in 1984.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Parish in Killington.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine, of Pittsfield; a daughter, Lisa and her husband, Raymond of West Rutland; four grandchildren: Ashley and her husband, Steven; Raymond Jr., Lily, and Benjamin; along with one great-grandson, Landon.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
