WHITE CREEK, N.Y. - Debbie J. Lackey, 56, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at her home.

Born in Glens Falls on Dec. 1, 1957, she was the daughter of Howard and Sarah Palmatier (Vosburgh).
She attended Mount Anthony Union High School in Bennington, Vt., and then worked at ChemFab for many years. At the time of her death, she was employed at St. Gobain in Hoosick Falls.
She enjoyed vegetable gardening, campfires and traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce Lackey, whom she married Dec. 29, 1978, in White Creek; two children, Korey Arnold and Ben Lackey; four granddaughters; three stepdaughters, Amy Putnam, Erin Beaudoin and Adrienne Sherwood; four step-grandchildren; a great-grandson; three sisters, Linda Devlin, Sandy Sherman and Ida Charpentier; three brothers, Howard Palmatier, Guy and RJ Vosburgh; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and her son, Shad Lackey.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington, where calling hours begin at 11 a.m. prior to the service, and followed by a reception at the VFW in Bennington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Karen McGovern Fund in Hoosick Falls, in care of Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St., Bennington, VT 05201.
