RUTLAND TOWN - Douglas Ray Hale, 53, of Rutland Town, died suddenly Tuesday evening, October 11, 2016, at his residence.
He was born on September 28, 1963, in Janesville, Wisconsin, the son of Jerryl Hale and Charlene Hansen Daniel.
Mr. Hale grew up in Wyoming and California and graduated from Woodbury College in 1988.
He married Tammi Seward on November 17, 1984.
Mr. Hale had been employed as a computer programmer for over 10 years by Wallace Computer prior to his disability.
He enjoyed woodworking and painting and loved his pets.
Survivors include his wife, Tammi of Rutland Town; his daughter, Nicole Elnicki and her husband, Richard of Pittsford; his father of CA; his father-in-law, David Seward, and mother-in-law, Marilyn Lynn Seward, both of Rutland Town; 2 sisters Debbie Crasco of MA and Becky Dennison of NY, 5 brothers Darrin Parrick of NC, Dennis Daniel, Don Daniel, Terril Stephons all of CA and Bob Dennison of NY; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Charlene Hansen Daniel, and his beloved grandfather, Jack Hansen.
The family will be holding an open house on Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at their residence, 423 Blue Ridge Drive, Rutland Town.
Arrangements are byAldous Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rutland County Humane Society Inc., 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, Vt. 05763. in honor of our furry friends.

I read what happened to your husband and your dear family...I too suffer from intractable pain and am lucky at this point to have a great doctor but that could always change.I wthold you in my prayers .Bless you!!!

I wish I would have known Doug - I was amazed to hear how similar our circumstances were. We definitely could have helped support each other. You all lost a loving, compassionate and strong husband, father and friend.
