SPRINGFIELD - Richard Farren, 61, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at his home.
He was born Sept. 30, 1956, in Bristol, Connecticut, the son of James and Helen (Hall) Farren.
He graduated in 1974 from Green Mountain High School.
Mr. Farren worked as a carpenter in the area for many years, both self-employed and with various contractors, including Green Mountain Log Cabins and Gilcris Enterprises.
He enjoyed camping, technical drawing, puzzles and building models of all kinds. He was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Survivors include a daughter, Ashley Weyant, of Windsor, and a son, Thailand Farren, of Keene, New Hampshire; four grandchildren; a brother, Patrick Farren, and three sisters Teri Pecor, Joanne and Victoria Farren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, Timothy Farren.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, in Hillcrest Cemetery in Proctorsville.
