SPRINGFIELD - Michael A. Woychosky, 94, of Springfield, died Dec. 30, 2010, at the Springfield Hospital.

He was born June 16, 1916, in Springfield, the son of Gabriel and Tina (Petraska) Woychosky. He attended Springfield schools and graduated from Springfield High School, class of 1936.
He married Ruby Still on April 7, 1938, in Springfield. She predeceased him on Feb. 27, 2007.
Mr. Woychosky was employed as a machinist at the Fellows Gear Shaper Company in Springfield for 29 years, and later owned and operated the Proctorsville & Cavendish Cable System for more than 20 years.
He was an avid golfer and a member of the Crown Point Country Club. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.
Survivors include one son, Michael Woychosky of Springfield; three daughters, Priscilla W. Millay and Donna M. Carr, both of Springfield, and Joyce Carlson of Tyringham, Mass.; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Humes of Ripton, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Walter Woychosky.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Oakland Cemetery in Springfield. James Millay will officiate.
