BENNINGTON - Arthur E. Noble, 70, died May 4, 2012, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, as a result of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born in Bennington July 28, 1941, the son of James and Veronica (Kelley) Noble.

He attended Bennington High School.

During the Vietnam War, Mr. Noble served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1967 to 1971.

Most recently, he was employed as a cashier at Shaw's in Manchester.

He enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle, and in earlier years, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include two children, Jennifer Noble of Bennington and Eric Noble of Fort Edward, N.Y.; three grandchildren; four siblings, Helena Hogan of Pownal, John of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., James of Key West, Fla., and Robert Noble of Bennington; two half-brothers, Richard and Mark Noble of Bennington; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Mr. Noble's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
