CHITTENDEN - John E. Parker Jr., 69, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Rutland July 22, 1943, the son of Bessie (Dutton) and John E. Parker Sr.

He served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working.

Mr. Parker was employed as a building contractor and at the town of Chittenden transfer station.

Survivors include a daughter, Ramona Parker of Middletown Springs; his former wife, Jeannette Parker of Chittenden; four siblings, Richard of Sudbury, Raymond, Betty Crossman, both of Proctor, and Joyce Anderson of Middletown Springs; a grandson; many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at North Chittenden Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in Horton Cemetery in Chittenden followed by a reception at the church.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
