WINDSOR - Peter Adamovich, 82, of Claremont, N.H., died Jan. 22, 2013 at Mt. Ascutney Hospital & Healthcare Center following an illness.

He was born in Claremont, N.H., on March 11, 1930, the son of Ignazy and Frasa (Duras) Adamovich. He was a longtime Claremont resident.
He was a graduate of Stevens High School, Class of 1948.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Korean War.
Peter was a self-employed stone mason, who later worked at Allstone Corp.
He was a member of the Polish American Citizens Club, American Legion Post #29, and VFW Post #808, all in Claremont, N.H.
Peter enjoyed hunting with his son, fishing, bowling, golfing and basketball.
Members of his family include his longtime companion, Patricia Gould of Claremont, N.H.; the mother of his children, Lorraine Foisy; a son, Gregg Adamovich and his wife Brenda of Ascutney,; a daughter, Lisa Ray, Claremont, N.H.; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Alex Adamovich, Kostic Adamovich, John Adamovich, and Michael Adamovich; and four sisters, Leda Ross, Ann McPheeters, Nellie Haugsrud and Olga Walsh.
There will be no visiting hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756.
