GRANVILLE, N.Y. - Tammy S. (Viger) Rathbun, 44, of Granville, N.Y., died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Glens Falls Hospital with osteosarcoma cancer.

She was born July 5, 1969, in Cambridge, N.Y., the daughter of Hilda R. (Odom) Viger of Granville and the late Donald H. Viger.

She was a graduate of Granville Central High School, Class of 1987. She attended Adirondack Community College where she received an associate's degree in medical science.

She was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Granville.

She worked for First Step Counseling, Indian River Nursing Home, Grand Union, Price Chopper, and Mary J. Tanner School in Middle Granville.

She married Richard Rathbun on Aug. 7, 1993.

Mrs. Rathbun's passions were to read, decorate, and bake special new recipes for holidays. She loved walking, hiking, camping, fishing, baseball, and enjoyed attending all of her children's sporting events. She also loved to make her son's homemade Halloween costumes.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Rathbun of Granville; two sons, Kyle and Nathan Rathbun of Granville; a stepdaughter, Erin Rathbun of Queensbury; her mother, Hilda Viger of Granville; two sisters, Terri Boisclair of Granville and Mona Lenz of Starksboro, Vt.; a granddaughter; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Bulkley Avenue, Granville, with the Rev. Thomas Zelker officiating.

At the conclusion of the services Wednesday, family and friends are invited to continue the celebration of her life at a reception to be held at the American Legion Post #323, Columbus Street in Granville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the C.R. Wood Cancer Center, 100 Park St., Glens Falls, N.Y. 12801.
