ALDRICH, Wilhelmine Barbara
On December 8, 2012 exactly eight months to the day, Wilhelmine Barbara Aldrich was once again hand in hand with her soul mate in life, Donald James Aldrich as he escorted her to their eternal mansion in Heaven. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family and loved ones. She missed him terribly and couldn't wait to be with him again.
They met at the end of World War II where he pursued her relentlessly. He would jump out from behind pine trees to chase her home after work. These days that might be termed as 'stalking'. She was the third daughter in her family and our father of course thought the most beautiful. They married in Berchtesgaden, Germany on April 16, 1949. They spent the majority of their life in Fair Oaks, California where they raised their two daughters, Barbara Mace and Michele Bland. She had a flair for drama, was the consummate hostess, and loved to throw a good party.
During the 70's and 80's, Wilhelmine worked for Weight Watchers as a lecturer. She loved this job and traveled far and wide to her classes. Her shining personality is what made her extremely successful and was known to have the largest classes in the state of California during that time.
Wilhelmine loved to travel. Her great passion was the mountains. She loved to spend time in Yosemite, where they stayed at the Awahnee Hotel. This was the place that reminded her of her beloved Bavarian Alps.
Momma will be deeply missed by her daughters and family. We love you, until we meet again.

Dear Barbara and Michele--I was sorry to hear about Willie's passing. You have lost both parents now in the same year, but thank goodness they were able to spend some happy time with you. I will contact you later on about the continuation of the "Aldrich clan" information. I wish I could have found both of your parents long ago. Claire Aldrich Berry
