WONG, Gladys Louie
Peacefully passed away December 6, 2012 at the age of 90 years. Born May 27, 1922, she was a life-long resident of Sacramento and graduated from Sacramento High School in 1940. Her lifelong passion being dance, she was an early pioneer in the SF Chinese nightclub scene in the 1940's. As a gifted and graceful performer she enjoyed song and dance her entire life.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and is survived by her sister, Florence. Her children - Ronald, Brian, Roberta, Rodney, Roland, and Rebecca - will miss her loving touch and words.
The grandchildren - Benjamin, Aaron, Philip, Matthew, Katie, Jennifer, Elle, Julia and Lauren join the family in their sorrow at her passing.
Funeral Services will be held at East Lawn Memorial on Monday December 17, 2012 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Asian Community Center.

When I first met my former mother-in-law, I was 25 and she was 50. She looked better in shorts than I did. And she sure could cook up a storm. She left an indelible impression on everyone. My sincere condolences to the family.

I am truly blessed with many uncles and aunts, but I have especially fond memories of Auntie Gladys. I observed how she cared, loved her family and the many things she did. Her wonderful sons and daughters are mirrors of her love. Thank you for being a part of my life.
