He was a man of many talents. He was a son, a soldier, a father and a grandfather. He was one of the many unsung heros of the Vietnam War. He was the type of person who did his best to make time for everyone even if he wasnt there in person. Everytime i called he would answer the phone and if he was busy, he would call that same day. You are my hero dad and i miss ya. Your in a better place. Im proud to be your son and proud to be named after you

My dad was one of the many unsung heros of the Vietnam War. Like many he did not get what he diserved after he got back. He wasnt just a soldier, he was a friend, father, and grandfather. He was an all around good person. He did his best to make time for everyone even if he wasnt there in person. I could not tell you how many times i called and he would pick up the phone and we would spend long hours laughing and joking around. We were more like friends than father and son. We are gonna miss ya big guy but heaven needs you now. Your in a better place. No more suffering, no more pain. I love ya and im proud to be called your son and named after you. You are my hero. Love you dad.
