Born Sep 26, 1937, Marjorie passed away peacefully early Christmas morning at the age of 76. Born in Taiwan, but has resided in Sacramento with her five daughters since 1979. She died of non-small cell lung cancer that was not detected until it was Stage 4 in Sep 2012. She fought for 16 months and now joins her daughter, Jamie, who passed away in April 2013. She is survived by her 4 daughters: Tammy Pinnick of Roseville, CA; Pam Smartt of Antelope, CA; Heidi Pinnick of Antelope, CA and Christine Pinnick of Pasa Robles, CA; son in law, Sean Smartt and her two precious grandchildren, Stone Smartt and Caden Pinnick. She also leaves behind her 99 yo mother, sister in law, niece and 2 nephews in Taiwan. She was an amazing, strong, independent woman that raised 5 young girls from the ages of 5 - 11 yo all on her own. She gave her everything for her girls. She went back to school, got her Accounting certificate, and then worked/retired with the San Juan Unified School District office until Dec 1997. After retirement, she did what she loved and that was traveling all over the world. We thank everyone at Golden Pond Assist Living and Sutter Hospice for all their compassion, friendship and attention to Marjorie. We are extremely grateful. Interment will be private.

Pam,
You all are in my thoughts and prayers. While I didn't have the honor of meeting your mom, the way you've spoken about her I know she was a very strong lady who loved her family immensely. She will always be with you, and know you were a great daughter to her. She's looking down on all of you with such pride and love.
Love you girl,
Caryn Steele
