My sweet Shoebutton, I think of you often. I will join you in the near future, but not just yet. Please hang out with me and tell Don and Don Lee to come with you. I'm sure you are enjoying being with Granny.

Al was great at helping co-workers at USPS by locking the doors, "helping close at night". He was retiring the next month and had a lot to look forward to. I am sorry about his loss.. He is missed. I think his spirit lives on and he will be watching over his family because he cared alot about them.

A new year without you! I miss you! You are in my FB profile picture. I was 9 and you were just a few weeks old.

It has now been just over a month since the devastating loss of brother LeRoy. Now, as a new month begins, it brings with it shock and heartbreak as I learn of the passing of yet another dearly loved brother.
Al, though I weep with sorrow and grief I know that I was indeed blessed to have had you as my brother. As I pour over the wonderful and precious memories we shared together in our youth and while growing up together, I feel a great warmth in my heart. Perhaps I should feel selfish as I shed tears over my loss, for I know that you are now far better off than any one of us here on Earth. I pray for the strength to accept that as I am greatly saddened at your passing, I should also feel joy that you will be happy as you are welcomed into the kingdom of the Lord and Savior. Your children and grandchildren love you so very dearly, and they also remain in my thoughts and prayers as I pray for them to have the strength and faith to help them cope with this sudden tragedy in their lives.
Until we are again united, farewell dear brother. I love you and may God bless you.

Uncle Al... I remember when you used to run in Long Beach, I envied your ability to run such distances without stopping, yet why wouldn't you give it your all... that's kinda how you rolled. From bravely serving our country, running marathons, writing, raising your family... you were hero. I remember Granny holding on to your grubby old teddy bear, that bear must be 60 years old by now but Granny loved it because it was yours. I know that you are there with Squeaky laughing and feeling free of pain and engulfed in extreme peace, love, joy... and healed of all ailments. You are very loved, Al... I bet you already found Oggie! I remember once when I was a kid, you and I were laughing about the plastic on the furniture and making little jokes about it, we were in the car, on a hot day, on the way to pick up food or something and we had the windows down... we were so funny (we thought) and we didn't let anyone else in on the joke... we let them wonder what was so funny, which made it funnier. I hope you and Squeaky don't get into trouble up there (if it's possible). I love you Uncle Al.

Al, I so miss our late conversations lasting hours, where you'd brag about your kids and grandkids, and talk about your life. I'm so lucky that I got to tell you how much I love you before you passed. I'll cherish the time I had with you and I look forward to seeing you in Heaven. Thank you for everything, I'm so proud to be your niece. I love you.

Uncle Al,
We love you so much...The thought of you being reunited with Granny, your brother LeRoy (Squeak) & the rest of your family in heaven, brings much comfort. What a wonderful man you were, with many accomplishments, who overcame many trials. What an honor it is to have known you. We will all miss you dearly.

Oh my dear sweet, wonderful brother . . how you are missed!! I don't have the words to tell you how much I love you. My sorrow is great. I remember holding you as a newborn. . . I traced my fingers along your tiny ears, and thought what a miracle! You were always a delight! Many prayed for you when you were wounded in Vietnam. I will never forget my baby brother, and i long to hug you once more. I know you are reunited with Granny, LeRoy, Aunt Rosie, and all the others gone before you. It will be a happy day when I see you and hold you again.
