BASQUE, Frederick 'Ted'
Frederick 'Ted' Basque was born June 28, 1935, he was raised in Suffolk, Virginia and attended Augusta Military Academy. Upon Graduation his family moved to Lodi, California, Ted enlisted in the US Air Force where he served as a navigator for B-57 bombers.
In 1962 he met the love his life Marcia, he swept her off her feet with his dashing good looks, charm, wit and snazzy car. They were married on December 16, 1962. They welcomed their only child Bob in 1963.
The family settled in the Sacramento area where Ted worked for the Aerospace industry, he quickly rose through the ranks to positions of increasing responsibility; Ted ended his career as the Quality Manager for OEA Aerospace Fairfield, CA. Much to the chagrin of colleagues Ted retired in 1999.
In retirement Ted devoted himself to his darling Marcia, his beloved dogs, his home and a new found love of RVing. Through the RV community he met many friends. Ted and Marcia moved from California to Oregon and recently to Arizona. He and Marcia celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2012.
Ted is remembered as having a dry wit, a slow drawl, a devotion to family, dedication to animals and a desire to have everything in its place. Ted was truly one of a kind and irreplaceable. His wife Marcia, son Bob, Brother Mike, Sister Kathy, Sister Cheri, Niece Cristin and Grand-Niece Fiona, survives him.

Marcia & Bob,
Tom & I are so very sorry for the passing of Ted. He was a dear friend to both Tom & I. We feel fortunate to have such wonderful memories of Ted and all the fun and joy we had while RVing with Ted & Marcia. I will so much miss not hearing Ted say "Quite Frankly" and every time I see a Coors Beer I will think of Teddy Bear, which was my nickname for Ted. Goodbye Teddy Bear until we meet again.
Love you,
Nancy & Tom
