Trula Faye Andersen

ANDERSEN, Trula Faye
Born on December 8, 1925 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was the only daughter of 2 children of Glenn Porter and Iola McFarland. Raised during the Depression, Trula became a professional skater whom met the love of her life at the skating rink and got married during WWII to James Andersen on September 15, 1945. They moved to CA in 1946 and were residents of Citrus Heights for more than 36 years. Trula passed away at her senior home in the early morning of August 31, 2009 in Hayfork, CA at 83 years old. Preceded in death by her parents, older brother, her loving husband James who she was married to for more than 61 years, and by her daughter Gail Khamis. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who is survived by her children, Joyce Myers, Gwen Tofanelli (Gail's twin), and twins Kent Andersen and Kris Lawheadl; daughter-in-law Doris, son-in-law Everett; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She worked at Capitol Aquarium and Montgomery Wards as a Clerk. She was known by all as a generous, and passionate person who loved spending time with her family and friends, playing bingo and pinochle. A loving mother and grandma, who enjoyed playing cards with her children and grandchildren. Also, an incredible animal lover who raised bloodlines of champion German Shepherds for decades, as well as ornamental fish. She was and will forever remain in the heart and soul of the family, friends, and will be deeply loved and missed. WE LOVE YOU MOM. There will be a viewing and friends are welcome for visitation on Sunday 13, 2009 from 12:00-4:00pm at Mount Vernon (main Chapel) Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Ln, Fair Oaks, CA and are invited to the funeral service, which will take place on Monday, September 14, 2009 in the same place at 11:00am.
