LOEFFLER, Donald Albert

Donald Loeffler, 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Sacramento on Friday, February 15, 2013. He was born in California on September 21, 1930.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and grandson Randy Rohrer (Stacy). Also preceeding him in death was his beloved wife, Mary Manly, who recently passed away on December 30.
He is survived by his four children: daughters, Susan Michelena (John) of Longwood, FL, Nancy Erwin (Bill) of Greenville, SC, and Sally Griebel (Don) of Mills River, NC, and son, William Loeffler of Forest Lake, MN. He has three grandchildren, Janna Michelena, Stephen Michelena and Jace Erwin; and three great-grandchildren of Folsom, CA.
He worked as a Private Investigator, primarily in Merced, CA, before moving to Sacramento in 1992, where he later retired. He was a devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Sacramento. He was an avid reader, gardener, cook, and enjoyed the Italian language and cuisine.
A combined Mass will be celebrated for both Donald Loeffler and Mary Manly, on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish (located at 1066 26th Street, Sacramento 95816). A celebration of life gathering will follow immediately after the service at the Heritage Park Clubhouse (2481 Heritage Park Lane, Sacramento 95835) where light food and refreshments will be served.
