DE PASCHALIS, Edward George
'Ed' was born in Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. on January 8, 1930 to Paul and Rose de Paschalis. His parents and sister Jane have predeceased him. Ed was reared in Brookline, PA. He attended Annunciation Grade School, St. Joseph preparatory Jesuit High school and Villanova University where he attained a B.S. degree. Ed earned an M.B.A. at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
Ed served with honor during the Korean War
and was proud of the time spent as a paratrooper serving his country. After returning to civilian life, Ed met Anita Brown. After her graduation from Rosemont College, the couple married in 1956 at a Nuptial Mass at Immaculate Conception Parish in Montclair, N.J.
Ed and Anita enjoyed 57 wonderful years of marriage and she was by his side when he departed this life to be with his Lord. The light of Ed's heart was their five children & spouses; Bill (Aly), Paul (Lisa), Kristen (Dan), Peter (Ann) and Nicole (Michael) and eight grand- children Michael, Lauren, Steven, Sophia, Jake, Olivia, Sam & Luke.
Ed's business career included Senior Manager and consultant for Coopers & Lybrand, CIO of Singer Company, Dayton Hudson, Levi-Strauss and Phillips Semiconductor/Signetics. In 1990, Ed joined the Systems Consultant Consortium as Senior Partner - a role he performed with distinction until retirement in 2009. In 2012 and 2013, Ed was one of the fifteen 'Renaissance CIOs' recognized by the business schools of UC Berkeley and Harvard for a lifetime of industry changing contributions to Technology Management.Memorial Services to be held July 2, 10:30am at St. Joseph's Parish with a reception immediately following at Meridian's Restaurant.
