LONG, Eldie Clifton
83, died peacefully at home in Georgetown, Ca with family and friends by his side. Eldie was born July 30, 1930 on the farm near Ponoka, Alberta, Canada. He and his family moved to Oregon in 1946 where his mother was a schoolteacher
and his father was a farmer. In 1948, his family moved to California. Eldie married Fay Cole in 1954, eventually establishing homes in Rio Linda & Georgetown. He retired with the County of Sacramento Probation Department. Eldie was an amazing, generous man who touched the lives of all those he encountered. He is survived by his son, Lewis Clark Long; brother, Darleigh Long; brother, Wayne Long; sister, Toyalanna Radziak and numerous loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Long; father, Clifton Long; sister, Yvonne Carlson and grandson, Joseph Allen Long. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, the 28th of September at 4:00 at the VFW Hall in Georgetown; bring a dish and a favorite memory.
