Eleanore Severini

Joined her sister Louise, brother, Ray and son Jim on January 26, 2013 following incredible courage and endurance with Parkinson's just shy of her 86th birthday. Surrounded by family, she passed peacefully, leaving her husband, Bill, of nearly 56 years, her son, John (Julie), daughter, Nancy (Dennis) and son Randy (Susan), along with 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren with another on the way, 2 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and special additions to the family. Ellie had a strong will and soul, raising 2 boys while working full-time until meeting her soul mate and raising 2 more children. Although she did not graduate from high school, she was amazingly intelligent from being a voracious reader and working crossword puzzles. She was involved with all her grandchildren enjoying Fairytale Town/Sacramento Zoo, making her famous thumbprint cookies, reading storybooks and crocheting blankets for all the kids despite advanced arthritis in her fingers. She taught her family, especially the women, how to be strong, and it is that strength that will carry on in her family. Together, Bill and Ellie enjoyed playing card games, camping/fishing, traveling cross-country several times and their little dog Daisy who became a "care dog" on her own when Ellie became limited in mobility from Parkinson's. She will be missed by all her family and friends. No memorial services will be held in accordance with her wishes. Remembrances can be made to the National Parkinson's Association, the American Parkinson's Association, or .
