LUKOSKIE, George Thomas
86, of Carmichael, CA, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Sutter Memorial Hospital.
He was born on August 22, 1927 in St. Paul, MN and was the son of the late Joseph W. Lukoskie and Anna Frenette Lukoskie, and one of nine children. George was a graduate of Cretin High School and the University of St Thomas in St. Paul, MN. He served in the Pacific in WW II with the U.S. Navy, and then in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. George was a retired FBI agent, serving in New York City, Chicago, and Sacramento, retiring in 1977. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, and also enjoyed both golf and martial arts in his retirement years. George was active in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Sacramento Council.
He is survived by Estella Whittaker Lukoskie, his wife of 60 years, three sons David, Stephen and Thomas, four daughters-in-law, Mira, Doris, Jeanette and Laura, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A son, Daniel, preceded him in death.
A mass to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Carmichael.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the of Northern California.
