Jerry Gross

Jerry passed away peacefully on December 6, 2013 surrounded by his family, after a gallant fight with cancer. Jerry was born on June 30, 1936 in Sparks, Oklahoma, where he lived until he moved to California at the age of 12. In 2006 he took the love of his life on a three-month journey to Alaska to relive those memories. Jerry was a glazier for 45 years, working for Blomberg Windows and the Sacramento City Unified School District before retiring in 1999. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and spending time at the cabin he built at Sciots Tract in Tahoe. Jerry was a member and Past Master of the Elk Grove Masonic Lodge #173. Jerry will always be remembered for his sense of humor and practical jokes. Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan, and their two children, Terri Briggs and Jerry Gross (Janet). He is also survived by five grandchildren: Scott, Brandon, Garrett, Jeff and Billy; and three great-grandchildren: Everette, Zoe and Zane.
