Lorri LEE

LEE, Lorri (Ethel Lorraine) Ethel Lorraine Lee (Dilley), Rev. Lorri Lee to many, was born in Colchester, VT on Jan 14, 1928 to Agnes Pearl (nee Vest) and Joseph Otto Moore. Dad was career Army (Cavalry) and Lorri grew up an 'Army brat' with her younger brother, Jim. She graduated from Banning H.S. in CA. She then married, had two children, and divorced. As a carhop in the L.A. area, Lorri met cook Frank. They married and he adopted her children, Chris and Mike. After the Korean War they had Bruce and Jan. The children grew on a block with many kids of similar ages, including the Dilley kids. Lorri studied Religious Science in N. Hollywood and L.A. and graduated from the Ministerial Class in 1966. In the 1970s she moved to Sacramento, was ordained and led Churches there and in Orangevale. She also became single, again. Throughout her Ministerial career Lorri helped and healed many. Lorri also found time to open a health food restaurant, be a world traveler and Camp Host for the State Parks. In the 1990s she became reacquainted with John Dilley, a former neighbor. They came to realize their affinity for each other, married in 1995, and moved to Oroville, CA. Lorri passed on June 30, 2014 at her home, in the arms of her daughter, Jan. Lorri is survived by her husband, John, and her four children, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and more, including her step-children Ken, Dan and Doreen. A relaxed, casual Memorial and celebration will be held 9 Aug at 2 pm, at the  VFW Hall, 1300 Forrest Drive, Folsom. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to a favorite charity.
