NOBLES, Stanley M.
'Uncle Stan'
In Sacramento, December 16, 2012. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Norma. Beloved father of Norma 'Normie' McGinnis (James) of Elk Grove. Devoted grandfather to Isaac Applegate (Andrea) and Erik Applegate (Frances). Great grandfather to Lee, Anastasia, Carina and Zaliea. 'Uncle Stan' to many. Stan grew up in Santa Rosa, married his high school sweetheart, joined the Navy and fought in WWII. After the war he moved with his wife to Sacramento, raised their daughter, worked for Campbell Soup, and went on many Girl Scout adventures with Norma & Normie. He loved the outdoors and was the happiest when he was with his family at the ocean by a campfire. He loved dogs, growing vegetables and going to Reno for a hand of Blackjack. He spent his retirement years with his wife Norma living in Pilot Hill, riding his horse tending his garden and driving a couple times to Alaska. He lived to be 94.
