CADY, William Arthur
Born March 26, 1921 to Arthur and Herma Cady in Corbin, British Columbia, Canada; passed on March 14, 2013.
Bill joined the U.S. Marine Corps
in 1939 and served with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Divisions in the WWII
Pacific Theater and received a high number of medals and honors. After serving as Master Sergeant in Japan during the Korean War
he retired as Post Sergeant Major for Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in 1959. He received an Associated Arts degree from Oceanside-Carlsbad Junior College in 1961 and worked for the State of California, Department of Oil and Natural Gas until his retirement in 1983. He was married to his loving wife, Jean Ruth Turner, for 59 years until her death in 2005. He is survived by his older sister, Florence M. Newman of Spokane, WA, daughter Karen Dee Szol of Blaine, WA, his son Michael William Cady of Sacramento, CA, and grandson Lewis Lee Lindsey of San Diego, CA.
