Virginia Tueller Obituary

Virginia Lee Tueller, a long-time resident of Placer County, CA, passed away on April 5, 2016 at age 92. Born in Fresno, CA, on September 13, 1923, she enjoyed a happy childhood with her parents Aram and Margaret, and siblings Polly and Jay. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Fresno, followed by Fresno State College and then UCSF College of Nursing, where she graduated in 1946 with a nursing degree. She then worked at the University Hospital, where she met Edward Eugene Tueller (physician, deceased). They married in 1949, and enjoyed married life in a small apartment in San Francisco. When Ed finished his medical training, he accepted a position as pathologist at the new Peninsula Hospital. They settled in San Mateo County, CA, where they raised their two children, John (Rebecca) Tueller, of San Diego, CA, and Barbara (Roger, deceased) Steuble, of Jackson, CA. After the death of her husband in 1994, Virginia moved to Placer County. She was the proud grandmother of Emily Tueller Murray, Daniel Tueller, and Bradley Steuble. She loved being Grandma with all of her heart, and even when it became physically difficult she participated in their activities. Virginia enjoyed any opportunity to visit with friends and family, and was generous and service-oriented throughout her life. She also loved cooking, hosting guests, and swimming. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and found great satisfaction through service activities in her church. She was loved by family and friends and will be missed every day. Friends are invited to attend services at 1:00PM on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Roseville Stake Center, 211 Estates Drive, Roseville, CA. Truly a great, great lady! Although we did not know her well, we did enjoy her company whenever we were blessed to be in her presence. We do know that she loved life and her family above all else! We are so sorry for your loss and we wish we could attend her funeral service in person to give you all our sincere love and support. Deepest love, Kathy & Steve Hale & Family
