DITTER, Tevye Anthony
May 8, 1974 - April 17, 2014

Hearts are breaking at the thought that Tevye will not sing, act or be part of our lives again; our beloved son, brother and friend to the community.

Those who knew Tevye are invited to attend funeral services at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3001 Wisseman Drive, Sacramento 95826 on April 26, 2014. Viewing is from 11:00-11:45am, services at 12:00, burial at East Lawn, Greenback Lane, followed by reception at Wisseman Drive.

It was a joyful experience to share the Sacramento Choral Society & Orchestra stage with talented Tevye. He was always so gracious and kind to everyone around him. The Celestial Choir has sure gained an amazing new Tenor! Requiem in pacem, dear Friend Tevye.

Tev was a kind soul and gentle spirit. He would go out of his way to help a friend. I met him at a difficult crossroads in my life which he helped me through. The insights shared from our conversations truly shaped the person I became years later. Countless times over the years, I have repeated his words, borrowing from his brilliance, wishing it was my own, but I always remember where it came from. I never hear a Beatles song without thinking of him. His beautiful laugh, that smile, and his world's greatest hugs are things I will always be able to recall instantly. It remains impossible and unacceptable to fathom a world without him in it.

I am so sorry. I said contentious on April 4, 2014, when I meant to say conscientious. Tevye was never contentious, but he truly was conscientious. I miss his warm and gentle spirit. Our bureau will never be the same without him.

My thoughts an dprayers are with Tevye's family and all of his beloved theatre family as well. I was lucky enough to have known Tev and shared the stage with him a few times. What a tremendous talent and even more so, a kind soul. He will be truly missed. I can only hope that he will be singing for all of us as we enter Heaven one day.

Tevye was my friend and an inspiration to me. He had this amazing ability to make me feel more confident and talented than I really felt. I will miss hearing his voice, his laugh, and his big hugs. (I'm 6', but I still had to stand on my tip toes) my heart goes out to his family and everyone who knew him. We can truly feel the absence in our community. I love you Tev.

Tevye was one of my dearest friends and it pains me to think that I will never be able to talk or share the stage with him again. We talked almost every day for 7 years and I am eternally grateful for the friendship that we had. We shared the stage 4 times and I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to start opposite a best friend. I will always love you, Tevye. I hope you are singing and entertaining with the angels now.

I am so grateful to have had a moment with Tevye as his music director in Les Miserables at Woodland Opera House. He was not only a spectacular performer but an authentically kind human being.
