Our thoughts and prayers are with the Taylor Family . My parents always shared such fond memories of Alice and Earl Taylor and in later years Earl showed such kindness to my father at my mothers passing. May the Lord bless you all.

I was saddened to hear of Earl's (Brother Taylor's) passing. I had such a nice conversation with Earl and Alice just a few months ago when I came to Sacramento to visit my mother who was in failing health and has since passed. What great memories I have of Brother Taylor and his stories that kept us kids in line. He may not have taught from the lesson manual every week, but he taught life's lessons in a way that stuck with you your whole life. We love your family and offer our condolences. Thank goodness for Heavenly Father's plan that teaches us that our families to be together forever! God bless you and thank you for sharing your lives with us.

What a great legacy for a wonderful and jovial man. I have always enjoyed my associations with Earl. His optimistic attitude, even when we managed to get his kids into trouble (it couldn't be them), kept us always striving to do better and be better. Thank you Earl for great memories. Our love to Alice and all of the kids.

Mr. Taylor and his family lived nearby ours. I couldn't image my early life without their friendships. Lenny was my age. I could see that the Taylors stood for everything good in the world. Mr.& Mrs Taylor came by the day after my mother died in 1960 to see my Dad. The world needs more Mr. Taylors.

Dear Alice and Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Many of my childhood memories are based around the Taylor family - having pancakes on Christmas Day, time spent at Camp Navhoo and Thanksgiving at Tahoe. Earl was such a wonderful man whom I greatly admired. He was the type of person who could always make you feel very good about yourself. He will be greatly missed. He was such an interesting person with all of his talents and abilities.

My memories of the Taylor family begin with listening to Earl tell stories as a boy, and wanting to be a storyteller also, some day. Of course, my other memory of the Taylors comes from my teenage fondness for Earl and Alice's daughter Ann, followed by my college-age fondness for Margaret. Oh yes, and Lenny, so funny and creative. What a great family. Our best wishes to you, Skip and Clare Hellewell

I always admired Brother Taylor (Earl). He was a large man, in person and in stature. We have know him and his family for many years. I remember he became our Sunday School teacher for a while when we were 13 or 14 years old. We had kind of a rowdy class. Bro. Taylor came in and taught us in such a way that we all paid attention. He had the most interesting stories. I remember one he told of an experience he had aboard a navy destroyer during WWII stuck in an enemy harbor surrounded by mines. The Admiral called everyone together to brainstorm and wanted them to be as wild and crazy as possible. He told us how the wildest comment was the one that saved their life - someone said pull the plug in the bottom of the ocean and let the water run out. Everyone laughed but someone thought about a plug and draining a tub and then thought back to their childhood and how they moved their rubber duckies or tug boat in the bathtub by bobbing their hands and creating waves. That same principle was used with life boats bobbing up and down in front of the destroyer, which floated the mines out of the way so the destroyer could sail to safety.
Earl also did a fireside with the youth where he talked about the origins of words and phrases. He had the most amazing stories and facts that left a lasting impression on me as a young adult.
We will miss him and know he is with the Lord and his family that has gone on before him. I wish for all the comfort and support to be with his family during this time. Thank you Earl (Bro. Taylor) for your example and unique personality that touched so many of our lives. God bless...

Dear Taylors, so sorry to hear of your lose. Bro. Earl was such an inspiration to me when I first became a member. I will always remember his beautiful bass voice in the choir and his depth of scriptural knowledge. He was truly one of the inspiring men in my teen years. Know that I will be with you in spirit Monday as I am unable to attend the services. May the Lord bless all of you with peace and joy in celebrating Bro. Earl's life.

Dear Alice & Taylor Family - Wow, I can't believe that Earl is not here anymore. It was good to see him on many Sundays, as he was in the other ward in our building. I sure feel blessed to have known him and grown up with the Taylor family. Great Great memories! Especially as he served with my father in the stake leadership. He is one terrific man that could command respect and love. God bless all of you! May I speak for my father, Bay Hutchings, and tell you just how much he loves and misses you. He is quite a bit slower and is living in Provo and wishes he could be here to pay his respects - but physically can't.

Dear Family,
What a character Earl was. He had the uncanny ability to make you feel like a million bucks every time you were around him. He could laugh and play with the best of us. What a neat man. We were so lucky to know him ...even if we did not see him very often. The good news is He has many progenitors who have the same kind of wonderful qualities and funky personalities as he had. Thank you for the memories. Paul and Jane Taggart

Dear Aunt Alice and Taylor family,
What warm memories I have of Uncle Earl. Even though we didn't get the chance to spend much time together I will always think of him as such a warm, loving, energetic, positive and happy person. What a great legacy he has left in such an amazing family. How lucky you are to have had him. You are in my thoughts.

Dearest Aunt Alice and Cousins,

Benjamin and I want you all to know how deeply we loved Earl. He was, to me, my special , special Uncle. I never had such yummy waffles before I had his! His recent calls to me meant so much. We shall miss his generous and loving soul. I am wondering how he will manage meeting the thousands of souls he did name extraction for? The line will be very long ,to meet and greet him in Heaven
All our Love,
