Ferne FREEMAN Obituary

FREEMAN, Ferne
Born on January 31, 1926. Ferne grew up in Sylvia, Kansas. On Wednesday July 14, 2010 she took her last breath surrounded by her loving family with granddaughter holding her hand in the home her husband built. She is survived by her children: Lester, Lanny, Barbara, Rodger and two grandchildren Maria and Wesley. Ferne lived in Fair Oaks, California with husband Everett (married for 64 years) where they raised their children. She was a Girl Scout leader and member of the Folsom Garden Club. A dedicated and loving mom, she enjoyed gardening, canning, playing dominoes and card games, and was a wonderful cook. Growing up an only child she dreamed of having a family of her own and always made friends and family feel welcome. She was a strong woman at just over 5 feet who was the glue to our family and will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 -- exactly three years following her husband's funeral -- at Mount Vernon, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628
