Rev. Herbert L. Steele

Steele, Rev. Herbert L. Born July 28, 1929 in Halltown, MO; passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the age of 85. Herb received his Bachelor's Degree at Bethany Peniel College, in Bethany, OK, graduating with honors, and his Master's Degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. He was an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene for 44 years, including Arden Church of the Nazarene in Sacramento. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Alda J. Steele. Herb was actively involved in community organizations, music, and apportioned his life to serving others. He loved fishing, camping, backpacking, sports, and being with family and friends. He will be forever loved and missed by his children, Michelle (Earl) Estep, Valerie Steele, Zachary Steele, and Brent Steele; his 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service to be held Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Church of the Nazarene, 1820 28th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.
