Ione E. Douglass

Oct. 29, 1908 - Oct. 21, 2013 Born in Livermore to Herman & Sophie Walters. Had 4 sisters & 4 brothers. Lived in Livermore, CA. until the age of 12. Family moved to Stockton in 1920. Graduated from high school and went to work. She met her husband-to-be, Trueman E. Douglass, while he was working on a house where she worked. Eloped May 25, 1927. Had 1 son Trueman I. Douglass, born on her birthday in 1928. They built their home in Stockton, CA. And they lived there for 65 yrs. Husband Trueman preceded her in death in 1987. In 2007, Ione moved to Rocklin, CA. To live with her son Trueman, where she Attended Adventure Christian Church. Was the oldest active member, and at age 100, She was baptized the way Jesus was. Ione is survived by Son Trueman I. Douglass, Rocklin,CA. Brother Lowell Walters (VaConna), Brookings, OR, Granddaughter Cheryl Muzio (George), Fresno, CA. Grandson Mark Douglass, Rocklin, CA. 4 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great Grandchildren, numerous Nieces and Nephews and hundreds of friends. A celebration of Ione's life will be held Thursday November 14, 2013 Adventure Christian Church @ 2:00P.M., 6401 Stanford Ranch Rd, Roseville, CA. Room A101.
