Virginia D. Howe

Virginia D. Howe began gracing all with whom she came in contact beginning January 27, 1930, in Pittsburgh, PA, and waved her final farewell August 4, 2012, in Rocklin, CA, aged 82. She took great pride in the successes of the hundreds of elementary school children she taught over a more than 25-year career, primarily with the Cupertino Union Elementary School District. Those in her life who carry on her spirit are husband, Bill; children Bill III (Joan) of Rocklin, CA, and grandchildren Bill IV and Bret; Christy of Carlsbad, CA, and grandchildren Drew, Rochelle and Brad; Greg (Laura) of Lincoln, CA, and grandchildren Shanley and Sadie; and, Alex of Los Gatos, CA. She leaves a sister Marjorie and her three children. She will be remembered in the Springfield community in which she lived for her infectious laugh and lively participation in various bridge groups. Virginia asked that remembrances be made to St. Augustine Episcopal Church Building Fund, 1800 Wildcat Blvd., Rocklin, CA 95756. Private service.
