SULLIVAN, Aurelia 'Ree'
Entered into eternal peace on Monday, November 5 at the age of 95 in Placerville, California.
Aurelia was born May 30, 1917 in Richmond, Kentucky to the late Sarah Wolford Keller and William Keller. Aurelia was raised with her late brother Bill in Covington, Kentucky.
Aurelia married Robert Sullivan in April, 1942 and moved to California where she earned her Bachelors degree in teaching at California State University San Jose. Aurelia taught in the Mountain View School District for many years retiring from Castro Elementary School.
Aurelia lived in El Dorado County for the past 23 years and was a published writer and world traveler. She enjoyed art, poetry, singing, gourmet cooking, gardening, ecology, interior design and had a flare for fashion. She passed on her love of the environment, culture and the arts to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored.
Aurelia is survived by her husband, the love of her life for 70 years, Robert D. Sullivan, her children; Susie, Penny/Shelley and Jason, her grandchildren, Patti, Amy, Shaquel, Stefani, Sam, Max, Colby, Christina, Sarah and Misha, her great-grandchildren, Rae, Christopher, Reef, Coral, Caden, Mya, Olivia, Cecilia, Landen and Phinn, her great great-granddaughter Brylee and many nieces and nephews. Aurelia was preceded in death and now reunited with her loving granddaughter Melissa.
Aurelia was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sister Sullivan has now returned home to a loving Heavenly Father. There she is happily reunited with loved ones who preceded her in death and will await the opportunity to once again be with others left behind. She will be fondly remembered and terribly missed.
Services will be held at Green Valley Mortuary, Cameron Park, CA on Thursday, November 15 at 10am. Bishop Randy Bell will be speaking. A private burial will follow in Dixon.
