Born November 15, 1939 in Fargo, ND, and passed away June 27, 2012 from pancreatic cancer. He was at his home in Orangevale, CA, surrounded by his loved ones. A California resident since age four, Bruce grew up primarily in Whittier. He was a graduate of Cal State Long Beach, and served as a member of the Peace Corps in Brazil. He worked for Orange County Probabtion then moved his family north in 1985 to work for the California State Board of Corrections in Sacramento, where he worked until he retired in 2005. There are no words to properly describe what a remarkable and loving man he was. He is survived by his beloved partner, Marcia Summers; his daughter, Kimberly Sandie; his son Eric Sandie and daughter-in-law Chawntaine Garcia. A Celebration of his Life will be held this Saturday, October 6th at noon at his home, call his daughter Kimberly at (916) 989-2533 for details.
