Jaime VANDERBECK Obituary
VANDERBECK, Jaime Brook
Jaime returned to God Monday, August 23, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Jaime was born November 20, 1978 to adoring parents John and Janice Vanderbeck; she is big sister to Jackie Vanderbeck, and the stepdaughter of Sue Keil Vanderbeck. Jaime is a graduate of the California School for the Blind where she loved choir and playing tambourine. She was active with Easter Seals, Pride Industries, The Blind Olympics, The Light House for the Blind and The Short Center. Jaime's favorite event each year was her trip to Enchanted Hills Camp for the Blind where she loved to ride horses, go bowling, boating and sing in the talent show. Other favorite activities included gymnastics, roller skating and making beautiful paper chains.
In addition to her immediate family Jaime is survived by her loving grandparents, Frank and Doris Cowan, and Robert Vanderbeck. Her aunts and uncles, Richard and Carol Cowan, Ronald Cowan and David Vanderbeck; her cousins, Kelley and Cari Cowan, Sara Bailey and Megan and Daniel Vanderbeck. She is pre-deceased by her beloved great-grandparents Charles and Ola Kelley and John and Frances ''Dee-dee'' Hughes as well as her grandmother Elva Vanderbeck.

Jaime will be remembered for her unique sense of humor and infectious laughter, her enormous love of music and the joy she brought to our lives. ''Someday we'll find it, the Rainbow Connection: the lovers, the dreamers, and me...''

I am so sorry to hear about her death. I wish I could have met her in California. I have been at the California school for the blind in Berkeley and Fremont when I was the student. I don't know her. How she died?
