SWARTS, John Cary
Passed away peacefully on Dec. 30th, 2013. Johnny was born on August 11th, 1966 in San Jose, California to John and Marietta Swarts. The family moved from San Jose to Fair Oaks in 1980. While attending Del Campo High School in Fair Oaks he played Varsity Baseball (catcher) and helped lead DC to win the section championship in 1985. He went on to play American Legion Baseball and experienced playing in the championship game in the World Series in Kokomo, Indiana in 1985, in which the team took 2nd place in the nation. John studied at Sacramento City College where he also played baseball. Other passions included football, golf, gardening, animals and music. An avid golfer, John won the Haggin Oaks Golf Club Championship in 1999. He had a successful career at Rancho Murieta Golf Club, where he worked 9 years.

John was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. John will always be remembered for his incredible smile, hilarious sense of humor, quick wit, great love of sports and devotion for his friends and family. John is survived by his loving parents: John & Marietta Swarts; brothers: Steve and Mike; sister: Joann and 4 nephews: Matthew, Tyler, Dustin and Clayton.

Friends are invited to attend services at Fair Oaks Cemetery, 7780 Olive Street, Fair Oaks, on January 7th, 2014 at 12:30. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations please be made payable to: DC Boosters Baseball and sent to: Del Campo High School, Attn: Athletic Director, 4925 Dewey Drive, Fair Oaks, CA 95628.
