FUQUA, Lois Hazel
Hazel was born in Osawatomie, Kansas where she lived until her father's death. Her mother moved Hazel and her three sisters to Davis, California where she completed her senior year of high school. After several years of working, WWII began and she joined the Navy. She completed her basic training in New York and then spent the rest of her military service In San Francisco. After the war, she married Charles Fuqua and had two daughters, Susan Fuqua and Linda Page. Hazel had a long career with the Federal Government at the Army Depot. She spent 65 years as an active member of the VFW, Auxiliary 2324. Hazel was an avid gardener, reader and cross-word puzzle solver. She spent many years camping and boating with her family, Bowling was a hobby she enjoyed for several years. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband and three sisters. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, son-in-law, and nieces and nephew. There will be a family gathering later to celebrate her life.
