I was saddened to hear of Marvin's death. We went to Jacoby Creek Elementary School in Bayside (near Arcata) together. I was 2 years older than he, in the same grade as his sister, Lois. I still remember his shock of red hair and his laughter. God bless you

A super person. I have often thought of what happened to him. A person short in stature but big in heart. Marvin was the dispatcher at the Arcata Police department where I was a Sergeant. After I left the police department to become a judge I lost track of him. He made a sufficient impression on me that I have remembered him all these years. I wish I had known his location because I would liked to have renewed our friendship. All Best to his family. He was a very special man. I am sure you have many wonderful memories. xoxo da judge

Marvin was an amazing man; full of spirit and life. He had a very strong personality, but you could see that he had a heart of gold. I lived in Arcata for a time as a child, though I didn't know him until much later when we worked together. He helped me connect the dots of my young childhood memories of that town so it all made sense. I loved his stories, especially about the one about the short rope in the Fire Station. You will be missed, Marvin. Rest in peace!

Sorry to hear about Marvin's passing. We were good friends at AUHS. We had lots of good times. I didn't even know he was in Sacramento.

So saddened to hear of the loss of an old friend. I have many happy memories of passing long graveyard hours with Marvin. Seems we always ended up talking about food and cooking in great detail. He left an imprint on everyone who knew him and will be missed. My prayers and condolences go out to your family.

Dear Nancy and Jennifer,
I am reaching out from many years ago. You and I worked together at Woodland Memorial Hospital and our girls are similar in age. I remember Marvin for his sense of humor. I wanted you to know I am thinking of you both.
In sympathy,
