Father of Raymond Joseph Cavanagh (Carl Steinauer) of El Dorado Hills and Timothy (Bonnie) Cavanagh of Elk Grove. Grandfather of Tyson and Cody Cavanagh of Elk Grove. Brotherin-Law of Bonnie (Harold) Fishbine of New Mexico, Alice (Oscar) Stuemeyer of Foster City, Lorenzo (Nancy) Torres of Redwood City, and Lilia Canepa of Oregon. A native of San Francisco, age 91. A graduate of the University of California, Davis with a degree in Animal Husbandry. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. An avid golfer and member of the Bing Maloney Golf Club. A volunteer for Meals on Wheels for ten years. An employee of the Sacramento Army Depot for 31 years. His one passion in life besides his family was baseball! A true Giants fan that made sure he watched all of their games! Friends are welcome for visitation on Wednesday and Thursday, July 16 and 17 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, (916) 732-2031, and are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, July 18 at 11:00 a.m. in St Joseph's Catholic Church, 9961 Elk Grove-Florin Rd., Elk Grove. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the "Very Special Toy Box Children's Cancer Fund", 447 West Oakwood Blvd., Redwood City, CA 94061., in his memorv.
