Your son was one of a kind and is deeply missed by many...including myself. We were friends for about 3 yrs exchanging emails that could have been novels. His wit was uncommonly sharp, his intelligence something I admired and respected, and the depth of his compassion something rarely encountered these days. He was a light in the dark...the big brother I never had...and his absence is keenly felt by all the lives he touched. You can be proud for raising such an amazing soul. God bless.

My condolences go out to Leslie and Dick. When you two took my two boys and I to the circus a few years back for Leslie's birthday we had so much fun, it was truly one of my fondest memories. And over the last 20 plus years Rich has been there for me like no one I've ever known. He made my son Brian a Yugioh card out of card stock that was a pic of my son. So Brian had his own Yugioh depicting him and his hit points. And then Rich built him a Redline BMX bicycle for his birthday. Friends come and go in life but Rich had always been there for me and my boys. I'm going to miss playing Ghost Recon, I'm going to miss his fishing stories, Brian still has the tackle box Rich gave him but unfortunately the bicycle was stolen. I am sorry I hadn't seen him more frequently in the last two years but had spoken to him several times. And now as I move back to Sacramento from Lake Tahoe I was looking forward to seeing him frequently again. And just 12 days before my move he is gone. My Love to his parents Rich was truly a kind and giving person and I Love you all very much.

I met rich about 17 years ago, has always been a positive person, and a very loyal friend. When life was giving me hard times , he always would know how to guide a person through it. I'm so devastated he's not with us physically. But rich is a friend that leaves great memories in a person's life that will forever hold closeness, n we will see each other again one day. My love and condolences go out to his family n friends in mourn.,

Richard and I had not been friends long, perhaps 6 months. We met online in SWTOR and he joined our guild "Infinite". He was always a helpful, respectful and polite person and I had the pleasure to talk with him on many occasions. On behalf of myself and our guilds we send our deepest condolences to all his friends and family. I regret that I did not get a chance to know him better and he will be greatly missed.

So hard to believe. I remember Richard as always being fun and youthful. My memories of biking around River Park/East Sac in the mid-80's would not be complete without Richard leading the pack and showing off his skills. Even though we haven't seen each other in years I feel a little bit of me is lost knowing that a childhood friend has died. Especially one so young. My condolences to his family and close friends.

Richard and I have been close, dear friends for about 3 years! We met online, playing several online games together! He was the "Guild Adviser" for "Mythic Misfits", and we are all very saddened by his loss! He touched the lives of so many people he came in contact with, and was always so giving of himself, so that others might succeed! I know that his memory will live on, in all of our hearts! Thank you, dearest Richard, for touching my life! You gave me such hope, and happiness during the short time we had together...a time I will forever cherish!
Lovingly Yours,
"Asperwind"(Amy)-Guild Master of "Mythic Misfits" and from all of your "Guildies"

I was shocked to hear this sad news yesterday. I found Richard on Facebook about a year ago. We talked about our old days in BMX, about friends we had and had not stayed in contact with, and about how those were some of the best times of our lives. I had a lot of fun back then with Richard and the RAD III team. My condolences to Dick and Leslie and Richard's family. He will be missed.
