BAXTER, Richard H.
Entered into rest Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Loving husband of 56 years to Zelda Baxter and devoted father to son, Jerald Baxter and wife, Jan; daughter, Diane Hoop and husband, Louie, and son, Darell Baxter and wife, Debbie. Grandfather of 5 children and 2 great-grandchildren. Born in Chico, CA and raised in Auburn, CA, he graduated from of the first class of Sacramento State College. He honorably served his country during WWII in the 17th Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron, Pacific Theater. He worked at Aerojet for 10 years in the 60's and retired after 16 years of service from the State of California, General Services. He loved cars, photography, painting, and enjoyed doing volunteer work at Kaiser Hospital on Morse Ave., and was an active member of the VFW and the 1st United Methodist Church. Always ready to lend a hand to many friends, family, and neighbors, he will be missed by all. The family invites you to attend Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the First Methodist Church 2100 J Street, Sacramento, CA.
