Maryann, Judy, Mary and family. I apologize for not being able to attend Sue's services. My sister-in-law Beverly texted me on Friday the 14th after reading of her passing in Friday's newspaper. A few months ago Sue asked Beverly for my contact information. When I never heard from Sue I tried to contact her without any luck. Please contact me at [email protected], 775-335-6895, Box 264 Schurz, NV 89427 or through Facebook so that I can send condolences cards.

Smiles and Good Thoughts in your new journey Sue. I just found out moments ago of Sus's passing. MY BEST FRIEND she guided me through my younger youth years. Sending my condolences to the family. WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE CALL ME AT 970 240-4963. I need to giave some mocissins to her daughters Marion. Sue made them and gave them to me many years ago (back in the 70's). I know she would want her daughter to have them. Sue I always remembered all you did for me when I was young and lost. My love and blessing to the family.

To Sue's family. I am so sorry about Susan passing so young. I have been thinking of her for the last two weeks. I remember her being so funny at the parities from CSUS years. I remember her caring for her mom and baby sitting for me when I would attend Health Clinic Board Meetings. I remember how she always showed me how she cared for me with a gift or a hug. I love her and will miss her.

I also worked with Sue at DMV. She was always making something for someone. It might be a blanket or booties for a friend's baby or a costume utilizing items from nature that she "collected". She would be all excited about some roadkill she found with most of the feathers intact. She used to crack me up. Her facial tatoos were fierce and beautiul. You knew she stood for something. Peace to Sue and her family.

Maryann, Judy, Mary and family I am so sorry to hear of your mom and sister's passing. As teens, your mom, Aunts Judy and Mary, my sister Melanie (Aragon), and myself spent time traveling to powwows and other native events. They were the best of times as the Indian movement was well underway. Your mom's dedication towards improving the lives of Native people was exemplary. Maryann, Judy, Mary, and family my deepest condolences. Yes many believe that rain/snow is a sign for us that one's spirit is acknowledging our sorrow and that one day we will all be together again and free from any pains or limitations of our physical body. Much love to all of you.

When I think of Sue and her memory, it always makes me smile. She told the best stories in a way that made a roomful of people laugh... I think she turned everything she did into a great story. When I first moved to Sacramento, Sue took the time to show me around. She was really the only one I knew here. When her pride and joy, Maryanne was born, he life changed. All I remember of you too was walking along holding hands. As a baby up until you were married - she always had to hold on to you. Now she is with you all the time. I know her journey was a good one - look at how hard it rained after she passed. Sue and her memories will not ever be forgotten.

Sue was a dear friend for 35 years. She was the first friend I made when I came to Sacramento and was instrumental in helping me get a job at the Indian Center. Over the years we would lose touch for periods of time then reconnect like no time had passed. Three years ago she prayed over me the night before my cancer surgery and Sue, a prayer candle is burning for you right now. I love you dearly and will never forget all that we shared.
My heartfelt condolences Maryann.

To the family of Sue; I feel blessed to have worked with Sue for a time at the DMV. She left a great impression on me. She was such a caring woman and very funny too. Truly a woman with a heart of gold. I'm sure she will be missed by all, but is in better hands now. May the God of all comfort be with you and your family during this difficult time. L. Vasquez
