COX, Thomas William 'Tom'
Passed away August 2, aged 29, at the Rocklin home of his parents, Billie and David Cox. He was born in San Mateo, California, on August 29, 1983 and moved with his parents to Loomis at 1 year old. He graduated from Granite Bay High School in 2001, attended Canadian Bible College in Alberta for one year, and Wyotech Automotive Training for one year. Perhaps the greatest influence on, his life was becoming a member of Bayside Church in Granite Bay as a teenager. He was part of the high school group, the college group, helped with Facilities, went to Mexicali twice and Africa on a mission trip to an orphanage. The many friends he made at Bayside were a constant source of strength and happiness. He loved going to Sunday service, singing songs during worship, and the many programs he attended. In 2009 he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the humerus. He battled bravely against metastases to the lungs and finally the brain. He was unable to see the completion of work to his Charger which he dreamed of taking to SEMA. He joined the car club, Kapitol Kreations. He and his friend Chris Chandler started a business, Nu Concepts Audio. Thanks to the many friends who supported him during his illness. He is survived by his parents David and Billie Cox, sister Kellie Cox, brother Daniel Cox (Allyson Fish), nephew Eland, and grandfathers Keith Cox, and Bill McCullough (Susiebelle). Memorial services will be held August 29 at Bayside Church, Granite Bay at 10AM. All who knew him are invited. Donations may be made to The Memorial Fund of Bayside Church in lieu of flowers. After the service friends and family are invited to the home of Dave and Billie Cox. Directions will be provided.
