MAYFIELD, James ''Ed''
Passed away in Sacramento October 5, 2008 at age 81. Ed is survived by his loving wife of more than 50 years, Ruth, along with their son, John Mayfield and wife Debbie. Also survived by sister, Thelma (James) Haywood of Sacramento and brother, Robert Mayfield of Dillon Beach, CA. Ed was a lifelong resident born in Sacramento and residing in Carmichael for the past 53 years. He graduated from Sacramento High before joining the Marines in WWII. Ed worked in the paint business in Sacramento where he seemed to know everyone in town. He was also active in several Fraternal Organizations in the area. Ed was a sports fan to the end, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A viewing will be held at East Lawn Sierra Hills, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento on Sunday October 12, 2008 from noon until 5:00pm, followed by a graveside service Monday October 13, 2008 at 11:00am.
