Born 4/17/28 Mumbai, India; went to sleep 5/14/12 Sacramento, CA. Survived by sister Shirley (Gerald); wife, Linda; children Gene Jr., Allan (Carol), Kevin L. (Sandi), Mindy Rhodes (Bill), Kevin Jones (Brenda), and Melissa Keck; nieces Rosalie and Debbie, and grandchildren Rachel, Angela, Matthew, Brittani, Katherine, Meghann, Amanda, Ericka, Spencer, Kelsea, and Hannah, and 5 great-grandchildren. Served in US Army as a medic, and proudly became an American Citizen. Received his MSW from USC and worked over 40 years for the welfare of children. He loved family and friends, music and travel, his Winnie, and his God. Member of Elk Grove Lodge #173 F&AM, and Past Patron of Elk Grove Onisbo Chapter #109 Order of the Eastern Star. Memorial service Sun., June 3, 2012 1 pm at Elk Grove Funeral Chapel, 9101 EG Blvd. Reception to follow at his home. Remembrances to Shriners' Hospital or SPCA. Remember his wonderful sense of humor with a smile. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
