 Beatrice Marie Yochum Basinger passed away on May 25, 2012 at the age of 85. Born in Delphos, OH on Nov 24, 1927, she and her beloved husband (of 58 years) Richard Basinger moved to California in 1947 where they raised their 4 children. Bea worked as a nurse and after retiring, she continued her life of service by volunteering and caring for others. Her life was dedicated her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than feeding and doting over them. Holidays were spent around the table laughing and eating and enjoying the company of each other. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Basinger, brother Albert (Red) Yochum, sisters Idella (Sis) Studenka, Eva Grone, Rita Shellenbarger, Bettye (Priss) Workman, Catherine Yochum, and Patricia Yochum. She is survived by her children: Rickie Kinley, Rodney Basinger (Terri), Randy Basinger (Jordan), Robin Basinger (Elaine); Grandchildren: Jamie Corcoran (Jeff), Christopher Kinley (Shannon), Derek Basinger (Jennifer), Danny Basinger (Kelsey), Corey Basinger (Amanda); Great Grandchildren: Ian Copelin, Aaron Copelin, Cameron Basinger, Haley Basinger & Colton Kinley; as well as many nieces, nephews and their families in California and Ohio. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, June 7th at 10:00am at All Hallows Catholic Church located at 5500 14th Ave., Sacto, CA. A celebration of her life will immediately follow at the home of Rickie Kinley at 59 Manley Court, Sacto, CA95820.
