MURDOCK, William Bennion
Born November 7, 2001 in Austin, TX, William was welcomed home by his Heavenly Father on May 27, 2012 at age 10, after fighting a valiant 2-year battle with high-risk neuroblastoma cancer. The oldest of 5 sons to Ryan Chad Murdock and Julie Bennion Murdock of Folsom, CA; brother to Clark, Cameron, Nathan, and Soren Murdock; oldest grandson of Chad and Remae Murdock and John and Sondra Bennion. He is also survived by 7 aunts, 5 uncles, and 9 cousins.
William was known for his positive and cheerful personality, vibrant smile, talkative and detailed nature, and sense of adventure. William loved family, friends, church, reading, baseball, swimming, camping, piano, cub scouts, school, Legos, and Harry Potter. But most of all, William's legacy is his consistent example of humble, patient perseverance and faith in Jesus Christ regardless of the circumstances. His short, but inspiring life will forever be a standard of strength and optimism and will propel others to endure and celebrate life as he did. We miss him dearly, but know we will be reunited with him once again.
A public viewing will be held Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Miller Funeral Home, 507 Scott St., Folsom, CA. A private interment service will be held Friday, June 8, 2012 at Lakeside Memorial Lawn Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 12:00 pm in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at 89 Scholar Way, Folsom, CA.
